Agreed...On a similar note, I'd also like to add that Bush and the MEDIA caused the average American citizen to HATEEEEE Osama and Hussein and that this HATE and FEAR was used by the right-wing administration was used to justify the loss of civil rights (wire taps, airports, military doublespeak for the terrorist POWs, getting weird looks if you have a BEARD, ETC ETC), and the war in the middle east.

When I reread 1984 for the skew.dailyskew.com review, this was the prevailing theme for me: that history repeated itself, and we got duped again, even with all the literature, art, religion, comic books, and movies showing us that HATE and FEAR are WRONG, we still let the right-wing hawks rule our democracy.

Years before Reagan called the USSR the evil empire, which focused our hate, fears, and ignorance as well.
