Jesse Jackson wants to cut a piece of Obama off … a very sensitive piece
Without further adieu, here is what Jesse Jackson said, caught on tape:
My take on this is Jackson is not that stupid to say something controversial in the television studio without having a purpose behind it. He knows he can apologize his a$$ off afterwards … he just wanted to get that message out there, to let Obama know that he cannot forget about him and others from his generation. Jesse probably feels like he’s been taken for granted by the Obama campaign. His vote and support is not guaranteed … he needs some love thrown his way by Obama.

I’m glad you covered this.
You know when I was a kid I used to get Jesse Jackson and Reggie Jackson’s names confused, but they both act the same: full of themselves, rude, and bitter.
In 2008, Jesse should be a non-entity.
Now Obama’s turn:
For someone who preached not playing the race card earlier this year, I don’t really want to hear his theories “black men acting like black boys” when it comes to raising a family.
Obama’s words aren’t going to change anything. Is he going to come up with a plan for schools to mandate teaching “boys how to become men”?
Obama seems to be taking advantage of the double standard black comedians get away with.
Could you imagine if John McCain said this:
“There’s a reason why black families are in disrepair. And some of it has to do with their tragic history, but they can’t keep on using that as an excuse. Too many fathers are AWOL, missing from too many lives and too many homes. They’ve abandoned their responsibilities. They’re acting like boys instead of men.”
Along those lines, vis-a-vis Obama, I heard a hilarious bit on the radio today. A fill-in host for Glen Beck did a Casey Kasim top-40 Obama verbal Sanfus … and I noticed the guy DOES try to act like Chris Rock at times.
Also — when he forgets what he wants to say or can’t get spit out, he tries to play it off, ala our friend Thorbjorn.
Pretty scary!
jesse jackson is just jealous.
and probably al sharpton is too.
Obama ain’t black enough!
But why you drag me into a discussion about Obama and The Rev. Jackson fo? Is it because I’m black?
No no Mister Sharpton, its because you, along with Jesse Jackson also ran for president.
Please dont sue me, get me fired or thrown in jail for being racist.
i apologize for my offensive statements, they were made without thinking and i didnt realize my microphone was still turned on.
Jesse may have thought Obama was speaking directly to him when referring to deadbeat Dad’s an out-of-wedlock children. Mr. Jackson has at least one child with a woman not his wife that the public is aware of and in all likelihood has one or two more as he’s not well-known for monogamy. The ‘rev” is kind of a disgrace to the frock and shouldn’t be allowed to call himself “rev” at all.
Jackson has always been an opportunist at the expense of everyone else. He is an equal opportunity extortionist. From the faked photo of him with MLK Jr.’s blood wiped on his shirt to his peccadillo’s, failure to pay child support and overt jealousy of a great candidate for president, he truly exemplifies the old adage of the crawdads in the can. When one gets close to pulling himself out of the can, the rest will reach up and pull him back down. Nothing Jesse Jackson says publicly or privately has any credibility unless it’s to reveal what he has always been; a racist phony who’s time has come and long ago gone.
As long as we allow people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to speak for us, we are really not going to improve our lot in life. Jackson and Sharpton have taken ’shakedown’ to a new level. They keep on making promises — but, what have they delivered — except to and for themselves?? Jackson’s raw jealousy of Obama was on display for all to see this past weekend. What a sad commentary; what a sad commentary for the Black community. Obama is trying to improve our lot. Jackson’s days are over! He is only the last to know! He and Sharpton do not speak for us. They used to be clowns — now Jackson is just a vulgar old man.
Jesse Jackson has and always will be an ambulance chaser. Al Sharpton is the same thing. The only reason either of them get involved in an issue is if there is something in it for them like power, money or big time exposure in the press. They are the most calculating and manipulative people around and do more harm to the black population than they will ever do good.
This may be a bit off thread, but I would like to express myself. I was born in ‘51. That would be 1951. I saw the civil rights movement unfold from the vantage point of a white teenage boy who graduated in ‘69. I always felt like Malcolm X was telling the truth, as was Martin Luther King Jr. and a young Muhammad Ali, Bobby Kennedy and others. I take issue when I hear people speak of their race. I am a member of the human race. I happen to be white. At 56 years old I can truly say I have become color blind. I am voting for Barack Obama. Not for the novelty of his color or the historical import of the vote cast, but rather to have taken a personal part in changing my country forever. When that young man becomes President, the Civil War and the subsequent 150 years of reconstruction will be over. Not perfect, but the foundation for true brotherhood in this country will have hit a high water mark.
