Last Days of Talk Radio
Since an Obama victory is imminent, I thought I’d take the time now to share why I have had little talk radio blurbs on this blog.
I sense the end of talk radio is coming.
I began to feel it when the Golfer started his “Operation: Chaos.” At the time, I could imagine that being used as a justification for bringing back the Fairness Doctrine after a Democrat victory in the White House and both Congresses.
Now that Obama is going to win in a landslide, I think we all know the last days are here for the talkers. I feel compelled interesting little blurbs, as a reminder of what was that we can look back on years from now.
To quote Savage from the other night: “Life will go on.”
I guess I’ll have to become an XM/Sirius customer soon. It’s $8.99 a month on my phone to get XM — I assume Sirius will be available as well, since they are now merged.

You must know that Obama Does Not Support the Fairness Doctrine, dont you?
For everybody that does not know they can google it themselves or they could check the link ive enclosed with the story which is entitled:

The Fairness Doctrine:
Ive pretty much always been against this.
It wont pass.
They dont have the votes and they wont get them and thats even if the democrats have a magority it will still go nowhere.
Someone may re-introduce it for discussion on the floor but it is meaningless, and Obama ( did i mention that Obama has repeatedly been against this) wont pass it either.
the fairness doctrine itself can also be easily challenged on constitutionality by anyone and then overturned if it did pass, but of course it will not.
It wont pass, even with democrats dominating all 3 branches.
And any talk radio host saying other wise is lying to their audience because they know most of their listeners are stupid and easily frightened.
This whole thing is one big bogus issue, an attempt to panic the cattle into a stampede.
thats what they think of their audience and america in general.
This is why I hate these snakes on talk radio.
Because they went to the Joseph Geobbells school of broadcasting.

They live by this quote of hitler’s minister of propaganda and repeat whatever lie that they must to scare their audience into a brainwashed slogan reciting hysteria.

The problem with some republicans is that they believe they are fighting the devil.
and when you are fighting the devil there are no rules.
and thats why theyre lying all the time now about Obama.
Lying about how he wasnt born in this country, lying about his stands on gun control, lying about the fairness doctrine.
These people just want to win no matter what.
In their minds if they have to lie to a gullible audience to do it, thats their bread and butter.
theres nothing they like more than scaring people with lies.
They know that theyre lying too.
They enjoy it, and like most people in the media they enjoy scaring people.
and they always get to fall back to the “im not a journalist” excuse whenever they get caught lying about anything.

Can you imagine what theyre going to do to Obama on the radio everyday if he wins?
The Fairness Doctrine was a policy of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that required the holders of broadcast licenses both to present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was (in the FCC’s view) honest, equitable, and balanced.
The Fairness Doctrine has been strongly opposed by prominent libertarians and conservatives who view it as an attempt to regulate or mandate certain types of speech on the airwaves. Editorials in The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Times have said that Democratic attempts to bring back the Fairness Doctrine have been made largely in response to and contempt for the successes of conservative talk radio.
True, Obama has publicly said he was against the F.D.
The problem is twofold:
1) We don’t know who Obama is. Junior Senator since 2004 and 2 speeches against the war. A couple of autobiographies (in which he states he’s a blank state.)
We know more about Joe the Plumber than Barack Hussein Obama.
There’s no telling what Obama will do with his “change” platform.
With McCain, we at least have 30 years of public record. Obama for some reason isn’t even mentioned as a community organizer back in the 80’s 90’s.
2) Once the Dems have full power, they WILL get revenge on the Repubs. and push their social liberating programs, lead by Queen Pelosi. Assuming Obama will stick to his word, he’ll try to compromise, but that’s it.

When I heard the right wingers talking about how Obama is going to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine to inhibit their freedom of speech, I saw it as a way to spread fear, and to paint Obama as some sort of Castro-like dictator.
You’re right- Obama has to be evil to the radio heads.
Heck, I’m excited about the positive change Obama will bring to Washington. It’s about time we elected someone who feels our pain and anger and who will fix this nation.
This is a fresh start of a new era in American history, and I’m proud to have been part of it. I have a feeling he will not let Pelosi and other radical Democrats ruin this nation.
President Obama will reach across that aisle and make compromises with his own party that will still benefit the people.

Two things that are missing from the Obama record:
Obama’s Senior Thesis- It was allegedly on Soviets and nuclear bombs. I wish I could see it…too bad it turned up missing.
