Rush is asking "Who Benefits?" When McCain staffers claim Palin is an idiot.
To me, this is more proof that Personality Types matter. Loyalists like Palin tend to get screwed by people who are jealous of their genuine ability to relate to people.
Palin drew huge, Obama-sized crowds throughout the campaign. To me, that is proof that she helped the McCain candidacy.
I hope and pray that she disappears into obscurity, as Damian predicted on his blog. I don't think I can watch a Loyal mother of five get ripped like a sheet of paper by Republican party hacks AND the MSM, over and over and over.
When a reporter asked her about her hurting the campaign, she actually said if she cost McCain one vote, she was sorry! That was a healthy response and viewpoint.
She continued, saying nice things about McCain even though his staff are attacking her.
Savage was right – McCain was surrounded by disloyal Judas's.

I believe people turned off by Palin would have voted for Obama anyway.
She just is someone easy to hate based on aura and voice alone. When she starts speaking, those who were inclined to laugh, automatically engage in the groupthinkhate.
The northeast and California will never buy her, and that’s fine.
The masses rallied to see her. People tuned in to her on TV, and she became an overnight celebrity, even with the MEDIA and members within her own party attacking her.
Palin in many ways was a bizarro Obama in that the GOP picked her as an outsider to speak for the “common people” (Wal-Mart shoppers, soccer moms, the Bible belt, red-white-and-blue flagger, parents with sons in the war, close-minded “patriots” etc.). She was used to tap into the Hillary fans, too.
She was all style, image, and no true substance. She served the same function as Obama in that regard. Her gimmick was being a common person OUTSIDER from Washington, and a historic selection being a female. The difference is, she truly is her gimmick, while Obama is more chameleon-like. There is something genuine with Palin. Kinda like Mary Marvel from the comics books used to be.
I believe she truly believed she was picked as VP for noble reasons. Her scandals never were “proven”.
She is not evil. I can see why she can crawl under people’s skin. She appeals to some racists and rednecks. She’s not an intellectual.
But she was a net GAIN in the votes.
If McCain went with Romney or Leiberman, there would be NO energy at the GOP Convention. She held her own there, and got millions of fans. As the MEDIA and TV shows chipped away at her day after day, it was still publicity.
Palin = Net Gain
Not that it would have mattered anyway. This was Obama’s election to lose, and he didn’t.
