LDOTR: Rush talks SecState Hillary
I've been wondering what is up with Hillary being considered for Secretary of State? The election is over - he doesn't owe her anything.
Rush just espoused the following theory: Obama wants to get rid of the Clintons. We all know that the Clintons can't answer all the questions on the 62-page questionnaire honestly - Bill Clinton has too many connections to the Sauds, donors from other countries, etc. So, Obama ends up announcing that because of Bill's post-Presidential connections, Hillary can't be SecState.
It is a logical explanation for all this - that this is a set-up to get rid of the Clintons once and for all.
It will certainly tell us a lot about the big O if Rush is right!

I assume you're not joking about Rush.
Real reasons why Obama (allegedly) chose Clinton:
1)To unify the party.
2) She's intelligent, strong, and doesn't give up. She would be a great Sec. of State.
3) Rule of thumb: Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.
Of course, there is a conflict of interest: her husband takes money from foreign countries for their charity.
But for Rush to think it's a setup is funny.
Go check out the Star Trek post I made today, and lay off the chronic (talk radio).
I found the whole "she's been offered the job!" Followed by "the rumors are not true" To be strange.
It's very similar to what happened during the VP vetting process.
Perhaps Hillary's camp is putting out positive news, and then Obama's camp follows up by downplaying it.
As far chronic goes: blogging is the game that they gave me. Listening to Rush for filler content is merely a sympton.
Sharp analysis Damian.
As much as I can say some bad things about H.C. she is tough/tenacious and I learned to respect those qualities about her when she held on and didnt give up her candidacy even after ten straight losses against Obama.
I cant deny shes got a tough character.
I dont know if she would make a good sec of state, but I know that Hill has a stubborn following among some and appointing her to a high position would heal the unspoken division within the democratic party.
Also I think he has to give the clintons something, theyve got a lot of [poerful connections built up over their years of spending a lifetime in politcs so they are useful to Obama.
Strategically it is a smart appointment.
Obama's people are clearly floating the idea in the media thru "unsubstantiated leaks" to see how the media and public would respond too the idea of her appointment in advance because they dont know whether they should give it to her or not.
Vahl sounds like that guy in Superfly when he explained why he sells drugs "because its the only game the man will let us play"
or something like that, I dont remember the exact quote.
I had to give up listening to the political analysis because it was just making me too mad,but last night I listened to Micahael (weiner) Savage and laughed as he insisted tthat the country has been taken over by marxists and every qualified white man was going to be fired from thier jobs, and that it was only a matter of time before he would be taken off the air.
as he warned his audience that now was the time top stock up on canned food and by guns he interviewed one "expert" after another about how Obama would pass the fairness doctrine and end free speech in america.
Savage finally declared that "the united states of america is over"
and continued to tell his audience to "prepare" for what has to happen.
even i will admit, i was entertained by this, but at a certain point had to turn it off.
what will happen to Michael?
will he be hauled away to an institution?
will he leave the country?
i dont know.
but i do know that we are in a new era where people putting food on the table and keeping the electricity turned on is going to matter more to the normal people in the very near future that the same tired conservative/liberal debate.
If savage wasnt so funny(even though he doesnt know it), i would put him the same class as the rest of those clowns.
Air america isnt much better either, they are still obsessed with bush, whereas im just glad he is leaving and will give his administration no thought.
The partisan hacks are so in love with their own hatred of the other side that they dont know when to let it go.
Its too easy to become a kook like savage or mike malloy if you listen too long.
i wont even try explain limbaugh who is some kind of creature that i have never been able to figure out.
The analysis of Obama's win on the right is very interesting because they say that the reason that Obama won and McCain lost, is because Obama ran as a conservative and McCain ran as a liberal, because they insist on clinging to the myth that america is a predominantly "conservative' nation and if Obama won he must have ran as a conservative in order to do it.
this is nothing short of some kind of crazy partisan mass-hypnosis to deny reality and rewrite history.
they just cant deal with reality.
oh well, let them have it.
let them think whatever they want.
why argue with these people?
its all pointless.
have a nice day everybody.
Great thoughts, guys.
I think Savage could be pulling an "Andy Kauffman" on us and it's all really an absurd joke, since he rejects reality.
Not saying it's a fact, but just a theory.
