Encounter with Toothless Man at WalMart
While walking amongst the Chinese slaves … uh, I mean through Wal*Mart, a toothless employee in his 50's who looked like a cross between Mr. Clean and a Disney pirate (tm haha) walked up to Tony Vahl:
Toothless: Need any help?
Vahl: Nah. Just walking.
Toothless: So, what d'ya think about this President Obama?
Vahl: I try not to.
Toothless: My mother fled Austria in World War II. She was a Jew.
Vahl: Wow.
Toothless: To think, I may have to flee back!
Vahl: Well, we don't know … you gotta let it play out.
Toothless: And now there talking about Texas seceding from the Union.
Vahl: Well, I mean, seceding….
Toothless: I could move there. I hear they have good jobs.
Vahl: I've heard that. So, do you have that fertilizer for Bahia grass?
Toothless: Sure, right here … you know you gotta use it by tomorrow, right?
Vahl: What?
Toothless: Our Governor wants everything to be more green, so Crist said you can't fertilize from June to October.
Vahl: Ah. Rainy season.
Toothless: I ain't voting for him again. I hear John Walsh is running for the Senate. The America's Most Wanted guy? He's Republican, and he's against abortion.
Vahl: Ah. Pro-life. Didn't know that.
A car drove into the lawn and garden area. Vahl used the distraction to disappear….

almost like real life.
Ive been listening to some of the annecdotes of the homeless and unemployed that linger about all day on benches outside of my place of employ.
Ive spared the blogosphere some of these strange tales out of mercy for them.
