Michael Moore, Geitner, Chaplin, Suicide

Here's what I learned this morning on NPR:

- Michael Moore has a new film out called Capitalism: A Love Story. According to the reviewer, Moore I'd revealed to be an FDR New Deal Democrat.

- Obama, Geitner, and Barney Frank want to create a new agency to regulate car and home loans in order to protect the consumer. He FDIC chairperson just wants government to grant her agency more authority to do those things.

- An Indian doctor prescribes Charlie Chaplin movies to his depressed patients. Something like that.

- A woman with MS in England wants assisted suicide legalized in her country. Apparently switzerland has legalized assisted suicide, and British citizens fly over there to, uh, take advantage of the services.

Opponents of assisted suicide in the UK worry that ill and disabled people will be pressured by family to sign up for suicide due to medical costs.

"Soylent Green is…."

I can't wait for involuntary assisted suicide, as depicted in the movie Soylent Green. I'll be laughing like Charlton Heston until the end.
