David Wells WFAN Ripping Torre

After listening to an hour of soothing Beethoven Radio, I had the misfortune of tuning into WFAN right when David Wells was RIPPING Joe Torre. My blood pressure rose I listened to these skewed characterizations:

- Joe Torre had a circle of trust, and David Wells claims he was outside that circle.

- Joe Torre didn't protect him.

- Joe had his good points. He knew how to motivate certain guys and Wells liked the closed door meetings.

- David Wells is rooting for the Dodgers so that Torre can get booed in Yankees Stadium.

How skewed. Torre will get a standing ovation at Yankees Stadium, if those two teams make it that far.

Wells reminds me of a supervisor who worked for me at Tashman, back in the late 90's. This guy, like Wells, believes that being negative is equal to being truthful. Curt Schilling is another dude who suffers from this character flaw.

No wonder Torre didn't trust him! David Wells needs to look in the mirror and see the cause of Torre's mistrust.

  • DailySkewCoFounder says:

D: Wells is SICK, and has no idea what it is to be a manager/authority figure who is responsible for 25 men and a franchise.

Even his best friend David Cone says it's because Wells didn't have a father figure as a kid.

Yeah, so my wife keeps wanting to tell me about the book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (she read it) while I just want to be surprised by the movie (I haven’t read it).
