MLB 2009 postseason picks
Well, I thought I'd share my MLB 2009 postseason picks with you. I'll be picking with my heart, and not my head. Feel free to check out baseball.dailyskew.com for a more heady Diamond Mind-style analysis.
In the NL:
- Dodgers over the Cardinal scum. I hate the Cardinals.
- Phillies over Rockies. I have no feeling on the Rockies, and I've been listening to WPHT AM radio for months now … so, I have no problem hoping Brad Lidge can bounce back and the Phils can make it to the NLCS, where …
- … they will LOSE to the Dodgers. I dislike the Dodgers (never forget the 1988 NLCS or 1981 WS), but I'm a big Joe Torre fan, and I support minority players like Manny Ramirez who get mistreated by the MEDIA. Joe Torre 4ever, you know?
In the AL:
- Angels TDA Red Sox, and …
- … Yanks over everybody.
In the World Series:
- Yanks, in a classic seven-game World Series match-up. Torre will look good, and C.C., Tex, Jeter, Melky, and Cano get the job done. Long live Phil Hughes! Long live Joba!
I have no feeling on Mo … he'll probably do his job and be taken for granted. I hope he stays healthy.
