I agree with your lawn mowing analysis – from raw.dailyskew.com, july 2008 post:
"Is there anything dumber than keeping grass on our property only so it can grow, just so on a day off you can stand out sweating in the hot sun and cut it shorter ?
Mowing the lawn is a pain in the ass waste of time activity that serves no valuable purpose.
Whats wrong with replacing everybody's lawn with a big rock garden ?
Mowing the lawn is just more pointless busywork that has to be done so that the city, landlord, or whatever residential committee, and or mayor of the block doesn't complain, fine me, or get me evicted for not taking care of my property and making it look nice, only so property values can stay high and make everybody pay more for their rents and mortgages."
its dumb, its outdated, ive fantasied about replacing the whole thing with a gigantic rock garden because time could be better spent on other matters.
Obama hasnt done anything to win a nobel peace prize yet, but if I recall they also gave one to Arafat so theyre just giving that thing out to all kinds of people.
However if it were offered to me, I wouldnt have turned it down either and would probably wear it around my neck on a daily basis because other people are still impressed by that kind of thing, so i dont blame him too much for not turning it down.
a dog-blog would also be good, why not get the canine perspective on human matters as well?
Ive often wondered, what do the dogs think about all this?
