Yankees win, advance to ALCS! Talkshoe loses, bandwidth issues or whatever!

Well, the Yankees win a big one tonight, advancing to the ALCS. Andy Pettitte was tremendous, and the dream bullpen combo of Joba, Hughes, and Mo got the final eight outs. A-Rod has exorcised the demons and doubters, hitting another big homer. Jorge did great. Big walks by A-Rod and Tex in the eighth or ninth inning led to some nice insurance runs. Overall, great series for the Bronx Bombers.

Too bad they’re about to run into Ockham’s proverbial buzzsaw of reason, and face the cold Diamond Mind reality that is the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

I picked the Yankees to go all the way this post-season, going with my feelings. Damian gave us the truth on baseball.dailyskew.com — that the Angels, inspired by Nick Adenhart’s tragic passing, would win it all.

I still believe in the Yanks, but we can’t deny the Diamond Mind — know what I’m sayin’? So, it’s been a satisfying run … glad I was able to witness some of it! Getting to the World Series will be icing on the cake, as far as I’m concerned, because we all know the Angels, statistically and spiritually, have the Yanks beat.

As for Talkshoe loses … VERY disappointed with the inability to dial in via phone or shoephone this evening after the Yanks won, to do a verbal manic happy dance. I had dreams of ranting and raving, having Damian call in, and then sobering up mid-call with visions of Adenhart and Scioscia … so, I guess when any big events happen, like the Yanks advancing to the ALCS, Talkshoe doesn’t have the capacity to handle all their hosts calling in.

I hope they invest in some RAID servers and some bandwidth … I mean, come on. I expect more for free, know what I mean? Hahaha.

Seriously, I hope they get that bandwidth issue or whatever fixed, so that there system can handle an onslaught of calls.
