lowes credit card, effcu — can’t login
Breaking news: lowes credit card and effcu users cannot login to their accounts right now, via the web, as of 2pm on Sunday, November 15th, 2009.
I checked out their websites briefly, and I was unable to contact anyone there. It is Sunday afternoon — all the techies are probably watching football or still asleep.
Oh well. If you need to pay your bills or find out your account balance and you have either a lowes credit card or effcu account, you’ll just have to wait.
To me, the inability to contact someone on this issue is a classic example of Lazy Man’s Ethics. THEY promise 24-hour access, but the reality is that it’s hard to find smart workers who want to be in on Sunday, fixing a server or software issue.
For another example of Lazy Man’s Ethics, check out The DailySkew Year Three eBook. On page 150, there’s a great example of how practicing L.M.E. pays off in the end, even though it’s wrong.
