DREAM SEEKER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Looking to earn some cash writing fiction short stories?
If you've been trying to figure out how to get work published and are into writing short stories, then you should know that the dailyskew.com is one of the publishers accepting email submissions right now. In this case, we're looking for Dream Seeker fiction short stories for our Dream Seeker Anthology, which is scheduled to come out in June of 2011.
If you're an aspiring author, self-published fiction writer, or seasoned pro ... if you're looking for how to make money writing fiction ... if you're looking for a vehicle to help promote yourself ... if you're looking for some CASH for writing, then you've come to the right place.
Submitting a Dream Seeker story to us is free. There are no fees.
Submitting a Dream Seeker story to us is a legit writing gig. This is not a contest. We pay each writer $250 for their Dream Seeker short story that we publish in our Dream Seeker Anthology. It's as simple as that.
There will be four stories in the anthology ... so you'll have four opportunities to wow us with a great Dream Seeker story!
We highly recommend reading
The Velvet Mask and
Return of Joshua in it's entirety to get a sense of the storyline, the characters, and the context in which you'll be writing your short story.
The short story should:
- be about the Dream Seeker, a.k.a. Dace Senoit
- take place somewhere in the Dream Seeker Universe between the beginning of
The Velvet Mask and the end of
Return of Joshua
- be creative! feel free to include other characters from the Dream Seeker Universe, create new characters, put the Dream Seeker in new settings ... as long as we can tell that the story takes somewhere between the beginning of
The Velvet Mask and the end of
Return of Joshua, we'll be happy
- be between 2,900 and 6,400 words
The Submission Guidelines are as follows:
- all submissions will be accepted via email ONLY
- in the email submission, please include your:
-- Name
-- Address
-- Phone Number
-- email address
-- main website or blog (if any)
-- .doc, .rtf, or .txt attachment with short story
- You can send multiple submissions
- please send all submissions to numbersix@dailyskew.com
- Deadline for submissions is February 28th, 2011
Writers will be informed that their story was chosen for the anthology after the deadline and prior to the June, 2011 publication date. Payments to the writers will be made upon publication of the anthology. A copy of the anthology will be mailed to the writers at the time of publication.
The Dream Seeker Anthology will be available as an ebook and print-on-demand book. We don't believe in killing trees unnecessarily.

We reserve the right to cancel the Dream Seeker Anthology project at any time. If we're not happy with the submissions we're getting, then we won't publish the anthology -- so please make sure the story fits the source material, as well as our writing style. We want high quality, thought-provoking stories. If the stories don't meet our standards of excellence, then we will not publish the anthology.
